With the move to Phase Three and the large surge in positive case numbers, there is significant pressure coming on general practice as more people are impacted by the Omicron variant.
Central Family Health will continue to support you if you need to access services, but we ask you to consider that there may be delays in the coming weeks. If your need is not urgent, or you can manage with the support of your own household or social network, please plan in advance as much as possible.
Our own team are being impacted as well, either as cases or as household contacts, meaning that there may be unexpected reductions or cancellations for in-person consultations if we do not have sufficient clinical staff.
As much as possible, our team will continue to provide services either in-person, or via telehealth (phone/video calling) options. If you require in-person services, please be aware we continue to triage and stream patients based on factors including what symptoms you may have and urgency.
For those where an in-person consultation is clinically appropriate, you may be seen in your vehicle or in a consultation room outside of our main practice.
If you are in need of a regular, long-term prescription item, please request this via ManageMyHealth in the first instance to reduce phone delays.
We appreciate your understanding in these current times.
